Songs I have been LOVING

Songs that I am LOVING
Hi dudes! Today I am going to be telling you about the songs I have been loving this past week. My music taste is quite varied but my main choice of music is Indie Rock/Pop, so if you're more of a R&B nut or electronica fan...you may not necessarily like this list.
I'm going to be setting up 5 choices of songs that I have liked this week...if you like any of this music leave a comment or like below!!

1. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful DEMO by Florence & The Machine
So my first pick of this list is the queen: Florence & The Machine. This song has been on repeat in my head and on my Spotify playlists. This song is very chilled but I love the vocals in this and is an easy song to just relax and sing to, I have no idea what it means to be honest but I love the lyrics even though I don't know the meaning! Haha. I myself prefer the demo of this song as its more chilled and calm than the final song...sadly the song is only available on Spotify or her album so I can't get a video sorry!

2. Love, Hope & Misery by Jake Bugg

This new song by Jake Bugg is literally my anthem at the moment! The song is based mainly around unrequited love, loving for someone who doesn't know you love them or they have turned your feelings down. It's a very anthem kind of song with a lot of power which Jake Bugg doesn't tend to add in his songs...it's so powerful I have ended in tears myself!

3. Sweet Dreams, by the Last Shadow Puppets

One of the Last Shadow Puppets' new songs from their new album. This song is mainly dreaming about someone you fancy or really miss. Its very powerful like Jake's song with an anthem feel to it like most of their songs. And the king Alex Turner sings this who is in my favourite band Arctic Monkeys! This song has some bad language in it but personally I think it is needed!

4. Dust-bowl Dance by Mumford & Sons

If you didn't know Mumford & Sons is like the band that my whole family and loads of my friends love. So I listen to Mumford & Sons a lot! I first started loving this song when I was on holiday and my playlist shuffled to this amazing song! This song is based around the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression so there is a lot of themes to do with money and guilt involved in the lyrics...it's a very angry song with lots of loud drums in the background. It's just so fierce that whenever I'm angry I just let it all out when I hear this song.

5. Monster by Mumford & Sons

My final and favourite pick is this song by Mumford & Sons. This song is very chilled and earthy, it almost reminds me of driving home (I don't know why). The lyrics are a little random so again I'm not quite sure what it's about but I love singing to this song. For myself, this song reminds me of being alone in a wood...I dunno! But I love this song!

Thank you for reading this! Hope you enjoyed this and look for more blog posts like this by me later on in the Autumn (or Fall if you're not British!). Please listen to them or mention any songs you like at the moment in the comments...much appreciated

10 Things To Do on Halloween if you don't Do Halloween

Hello guys,
I have some good and bad news...what do you want first? Ok bad news, the bad news is that I'm finishing my blog in early January as sadly I don't have enough time to do blogging, I might carry on later on in 2016 but I will not post regularly. Anyway, the good news is that I can start to do some Halloween posts...today I will be doing 10 things to do on Halloween if you don't do Halloween. I know quite a few people who don't do Halloween, I don't myself but this year I am, but I thought that I have survived for the past years with not trick or treating so I'm going to show you how to have fun at home during Halloween.

1) Watch a movie

Watching a movie doesn't necessesarily mean watch a scary movie, you can watch a movie marathon or your absolute favourite movie. I would advice watch a movie at home, it's cosier.

2) Eat sweets and chocolate

Sadly if you don't trick or treat or go to a Halloween party, you don't get much treats, but treat yourself this Halloween and enjoy it. For example: Halloween treat bag, chocolate bars, toffee/chocolate apples, etc.

3) Pamper evening

A pamper evening is a great way to spend the evening to yourself. Apply a face mask, relax with cucumber slices whilst bath bombs sizzle in a nice deserved bath. After that do a nice manicure or pedicure and light a few autumnal smelly candles and read a magazine or a book.

4) Company

Find a friend who hasn't got any plans either, watch a movie, have some popcorn and just have a great time. Also if you are doing pampering do it with a friend or two.

5) Make a vlog

You could do a vlog entry to show what you want to do on a night in, it's fun to do and something to do I guess. You can do other videos but vlogging is probably one of the most best video ideas for a night-in.

6) Have a photo shoot

Get a few friends, a camera and some costumes/backdrops/props and of course good poses. It's so much fun to do something like this as it's funny to look back at the photos and to dress up. If you want to get into the Halloween spirit why not dress up as a vampire or witch or ghost?

7) Make a movie

Making a movie at home is so much fun, you don't need a script. You just need a phone/camera etc, characters, costumes and a setting, also a good storyline. If you want to get into the Halloween spirit why not film a horror movie...go crazy with some fake blood and wacky wigs.

8) Listen to some music/make an Autumn playlist

It's good to just listen to some tunes you enjoy...

9) Binge watch a TV programe

I love binge watching, it's a good distraction and can I just add you probably will get some trick or treaters knocking on your door so close all the curtains and turn of some obvious lights and if they don't get the message just ignore them so they don't interupt your binge watching. I'm binge watching Sherlock right now...

10) Bake some Autumnal/Halloween treats

It's fun to make, it's enjoyable to eat (including licking the bowl)

Here are two links to make some Autumn and Halloween food:

Autumn Tag

Hello,
So I am sorry I haven't uploaded for a while, I have been at school...anyway I am going to be doing an Autumn tag post with pictures and amazing answers!?

Let's get started...

1) What item of clothing do you love to wear in the autumn?
Jumpers, they're soft, warm and cosy.

2) Most wanted item for the autumn?
Nice autumnal boots and MORE JUMPERS!

3) Favourite boots to wear in the autumn?
Probably, medium height like the ones above, which have nice wooly material inside and a nice brown colour that are laced up.

4) Are you a fan of UGG boots?
Not really they're boring and also the way they torture sheep just to make these isn't a nice topic to think about.

5) It's snowing/raining outside, what are your favourite wellies?
Wellies that my feet can fit in, I mostly prefer plain wellies.

6) What is your favourite autumn trend?
Jumpers over shirts, as they're autumnal, cosy, warm and stylish. I also like berry lipstick. Also I like stylish, fall coats.

7) Do you dislike or like that it's getting darker outside?
I really like it, it makes me feel cosy when I'm home and it makes me want to sit on the sofa and binge watch.

8) What is your typical autumn day consiting of?
There's 2:
 1. Having family coming over and eating soup, then going out to a nice forest walk.
2. Having fall sleepovers.

I know this was short but I will be uploading other stuff soon!
Bye
Cerys xx.

10 Ways to bring Autumn to your home

Hello,
Today I am going to be doing a post about ways to bring Autumn to your home, if you didn't know Autumn/Fall is among us so I want to make a post to get us all into an autumnal mood. I was originally going to do 6 but I had looked into more crafts etc so there are more ideas...yay. If you didn't notice my background has changed I thought it looked like a September layout so I chose that.

Anyway, let's get started...

1. Do an Autumn/Fall clear out
Start to get rid of anything that is too summery or is a little out-dated (for example: a 4 year old calendar?) and start to put some autumnal coloured things together such as red or yellow. This will make you feel more in the Autumn mood.

Ignore my Batman poster...

2. Adding smells to your home
It's great to add Autumn smells to your house. You can buy an air fresher or a room spray but making one is more fun:
You Will Need:
4 pieces of lemon
3 pieces of orange
2 sticks of cinnamon
2 teaspoons of cloves
8 cranberries

Boil this in hot water and then simmer this, it will smell so nice...the only problem with this is you can't keep it forever but it's good to make if people are visiting. After you have done this discard it. You can use other flavours, other methods are smelly candles, oil refreshers, bake some pumpkin pie or cake.

3. Add some candles
Candles are very significant in the season of Autumn and smelly ones especially, I would advise to buy a cinnamon or kind of pumpkin candle etc. It's best not to make candles as there is a lot of fire and heat involved with the process.

4. Make an Autumn to do list
To make this craft buy an autumnal frame such as this one, then put a peice of blank paper, on the actual glass screen thing write your to do list, then tick them off as you go through the day, the next day you can rub it off.

5. Autumn Bunting
Adding colour to your room is vital, it makes it feel brighter and it's seasonal. To make this you can be lazy and buy this but to make it:
You will need:
Some autumn leaves
String
Pencil
2 pins (if you don't have pins use sellotape or maybe blue tack)

To make this grab your leaves and pierce small holes into each leaf, next pull the string through each hole, then spread out the leaves onto your peice of string make sure this string is a reasonable size. When you have done, get the string and pierce a pin both ends of the string and make sure it goes through the wall so it's secure.

6. Decorate the room with pumpkins
You don't have to grow a pumpkin but you can buy a cheap one from the supermarket or even make one out of wool or felt. Also don't carve them until the 31st!

7. Drink some nice hot drinks
This isn't to customize your room but to get yourself into the autumnal mood. Good drinks to try are: Vanilla Chai Tea, Pumpkin Latte, Hot Chocolate, Black Forest Hot Chocolate and any pumpkin flavoured hot drink. What? 'Tis the season to be orange?

8. Bringing nature into your home
To bring nature to your home, go outside and collect some leaves, sticks, pinecones, acorns or conkers to decorate your room.

9. Go outside!
Get some fresh air and take a nice autumnal forest walk! This may not be 'at home' but it's very refreshing.

Come on that's just beautiful!

10. Make some autumnal pictures
You can make these with leaves on paper or make a collage on the computer totally your choice!

I hope you enjoyed this, I sure did and I hope your Autumns are great this year!

Top List of My Favourite Bands and Singers

Hello guys,
I am so sorry I haven't been uploading much as I have been to a Summer School and on holiday too but I'm here and ready to type. Today I am going to be telling you my favourite singers/bands (21st century), I might make other posts about songs and singers/bands from earlier eras. My taste in music is quite different to other people's interests I wouldn't say I like alternative, but I like different tastes to pop music. I hope you might like some of these artists if not...who am I to judge? (BTW: I'm going to put my favourites in order). I am also going to pick out some songs I enjoy and link them to the music video (FIY some music videos are just plain weird).

#6-The Last Shadow Puppets

This band is made up of mainly two people: Alex Turner and Miles Kane. The band is together but, Alex sings in the Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane has a solo career so they haven't produced as much music, but their music still goes round in my head. The genre of music is rock and the songs are very catchy. My favourite song by them had won an award, which I will link onto the song name.

Favourite song:
My Mistakes Were Made For You

Genre: Pop/Rock

#5-Jake Bugg
Jake Bugg is a solo artist of the age of 21, he started off his career as the age of 18 after visiting the BBC for a music interview, he wowed the BBC with his guitar playing skills, folk rock voice and his lyrics which were inspired by his harsh childhood/teenage years living on a council estate. His choice of genre matches his lyrics so well and he writes all his songs himself, since the interview he has released two albums: 'Jake Bugg' and 'Shangri-La' also he has performed at many festivals such as Glastonbury.

My Top 5 Favourite Songs (In Order):
1) Messed Up Kids
2) Taste It
3) Simple as This
4) Lighting Bolt
5) What Doesn't Kill You

Genre: Folk Rock

#4-Miles Kane
Miles Kane is from the Last Shadow Puppets as I mentioned before but him working in the solo career has impressed a lot of people, he is very good at playing instruments whilst singing which makes his music so loveable, my favourite song was also the soundtrack to FIFA 14. So that tune is pretty much world wide.

My Favourite Song:
Don't Forget Who You Are

 Genre: Rock

#3-Tom Odell
Tom Odell is a solo artist, he began his career as playing music at music college he moved on to getting a record label, through ups and downs he got nominated and won a BRIT award. Also he got success after singing Real Love for Monty the Penguin the John Lewis Advert.

Top 5 Favourite Songs:
1) Another Love
2) Can't Pretend
3) Grow Old With Me
4) Real Love
5) Hold Me

Genre: Pop

#2-Arctic Monkeys
Above all this band is one of my favourite bands of all time, this Sheffield group has been very successful for the past decade or so, with Alex Turner as the lead singer they bring proper rock to the radio and their music is very addictive.

Top 5 Favourite Songs: (FIY the music videos are mostly audio)
1) Do I Wanna Know
2) Baby I'm Yours
3) Arabella
4) I Wanna Be Yours
5) No.1 Party Anthem

Genre: Rock/Pop

#1-Florence + The Machine
Florence + The Machine is the winner for me, the band is made up of the lead singer Florence Welch and various musicians in the background. The songs are very unique and is again very addictive. Also the band was the lead act for Glastonbury 2015 and have been very successful with their newest album How Big How Blue How Beautiful.

 Top 5 Favourite Songs:
1) What Kind Of Man
2) What The Water Gave Me
3) Mother
4) Spectrum
5) Shake It Out

Genre: Indie/Pop

I hope you guys enjoyed this post,
now you can see what weird music I like ;)

Cerys

Q&A

I posted and asked for some people to ask me questions for a Q&A but only my friend Louise/Louise Sprinkles did. So yeah... Anyway my last post kind of sucked as my interent connection was playing up, but today I thought I would find some questions off the internet and answer some of them, if you want to ask me a question(s) leave a comment down below.

1. What would be harder? To tell someone you love them or to tell someone you don't love them back?
I probably would think to tell someone you love them as it is a big step up if you like someone and it can either end up going on a date with that person or being rejected and even being lead to the whole school finding out and laughing at you...

2. What do you think would be the hardest thing to give up on?
Life, many people don't enjoy life through family issues, health issues or just bad things that upset them. I wouldn't want to give up that easily as I don't give in easily. Life to me is a gift that I should accomplish, help and forgive others and to enjoy it through the harshest of times.

3. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying?
Probably know as I don't really know how to do it, instead I would call someone for help and shout like 'DOES ANYONE KNOW CPR?' or something like that.

4. What makes you bored?
A lot of crap kids' shows/films, having nothing to do and maths/physics also PE.

5. What is your favourite four-legged creature and why?
My favourite is the cat, I like all cats including big cats. People say that cats are lazy and boring, but I think that cats are good to take things off your mind as cats are more soft and calm than dogs.

6. Do you like spicy food, if you do why?
I don't mind spicy food if I get natural yoghurt served with it as it cools it down a little.

7. Are you old-fashioned?
Well I like a lot of retro music and retro style but I wouldn't say I am an antique lover I like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn etc. but I'm not into old rocking chairs and classical music.

8. Something or someone you miss from your childhood?
I miss a lot of my friends who have moved away to like Stafford and Exeter etc. and I also miss my amazing grandad as he was a very loveable and inspiring man.

9. Are you usually late, early or right-on-time?
Early, I'm early for school, form, cinemas, doctors/dentists appointments etc. but I'm occassionally late depending on traffic though.

10. Are you happy with your life for the most part right now?
Pretty much, my family are amazing and my friends too. I do get scared or worried a lot about what will happen in the future but I'm mostly excited as well.

11. You can have one of the following things: trust/love?
I want love in the future and people already trust me so love.

12. What is your favourite book?
I don't have one, I like loads though.

13. Do you envy anyone?
Errr yeah...quite a few people but I am happy with myself as I am for the moment.

14. Have you achieved anything good lately?
Jack Petchey Award for Contribution to Drama.

15. What was the worst punishment you had as a child?
Not being allowed to watch TV and being sent onto the naughty step.

16. Do you like chocolate?
I absolutely LOVE chocolate!

17. Do you like rainy days or snowy winter days more?
Snowy winter days, as I feel really cosy in my home.

18. Name 3 things in nature you find most beautiful?
Animals, flowers/plants and waterfalls/streams.

19. What are your 2 favourite careers and why?
I like the idea of interior design as I like decorating rooms etc. and also acting...it's my ideal job.

20. What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?
I have too many...probably reading a poem (I wrote myself) infront of tonnes of people for my grandad's funeral.

21. When was the last time you lied and to whom and why?
To my sister about 20 mintutes ago I said I would help her in a minute but that was like 20 minutes ago...

22. Is there anything in the world you regret doing?
The majority of arguements I have been involved in.

23. What scares you the most and why?
Being alone forever, there's no point explaining it's just awful.

24. What do you do in your free time?
Blogging, seeing friends and family etc.

25. What is your favourite part on the human face?
The eyes, mouth and hair.

26. What is your favourite body part on the human body and why?
I can't really decide...
27. Name a big mistake you've ever made?
In tests I sometimes put 2x3=5...
